As the founder of beauty brand Megababe<\/a>, I\u2019m constantly asked what my ride-or-die products are. The truth (which always shocks people) is that I don\u2019t play favorites when it comes to products. My approach to skincare not only involves products, but also saying YES to life choices that make me happy. And it’s this approach that’s far more important than the actual formulas I\u2019m using. Here are the 6 beauty philosophies that I follow religiously:  <\/p>\n\n\n

Exfoliate every day<\/div>\n

I live in New York City, so exfoliating<\/a> my skin on the regular is a must. I use a gentle physical\u00a0<\/span><\/span>scrub<\/span><\/span> every night to help my skin reset after a day of absorbing dirt and grime. Just make sure whichever exfoliator you choose is meant for daily use.\u202f<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n <\/div>\n

Hydration or bust<\/div>\n

A fully hydrated face is my whole vibe, so there\u2019s not a day that goes by that I don\u2019t use a\u00a0<\/span><\/span>moisturizer<\/span><\/span><\/a>\u00a0with hyaluronic acid<\/span><\/a>\u00a0followed by an oil<\/span>\u00a0to\u00a0<\/span>keep<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>me looking dewy and fresh-faced, even without makeup on.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n <\/div>\n

Pay lip service<\/div>\n

If we\u2019re being real (and we always are<\/span>!<\/span>), my lips have lost pigmentation over the years and blend into the color of my face, so I have a big appreciation for lip colors.\u202f<\/span>My current obsession is\u00a0<\/span><\/span>this<\/span><\/span><\/a>\u00a0poppy fuchsia shade.\u00a0<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n <\/div>\n

Chafing is not ok<\/div>\n

There\u2019s nothing worse than thigh chafing<\/span>\u2014I even developed and\u00a0<\/span>launched a<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>product to combat that exact issue.\u00a0<\/span>Wearing dresses and shorts used to be problematic for me, so now I<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>wou<\/span>ldn\u2019t\u00a0<\/span>dream of leaving the house without <\/span><\/span>Thigh Rescue\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/a>stick<\/span><\/span><\/a>\u00a0in the summer.\u202f<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n <\/div>\n

Facials forever<\/div>\n

I stopped getting facials during the pandemic, but just started going back and oh my god, did I miss them! I go to a woman named Karen<\/span>\u00a0at<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span>Sia\u2019s<\/span><\/span><\/a>\u00a0in Soho, NYC<\/span>.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>I\u2019ve\u00a0<\/span>had<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>fancy\u00a0<\/span>facial<\/span>s\u00a0<\/span>with tools and lasers<\/span>\u00a0and the works<\/span>, but\u00a0<\/span>it\u2019s too much.\u00a0<\/span>Karen\u00a0<\/span>does the basics\u00a0<\/span>and leaves me looking amazing.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n <\/div>\n

Say YES. Then say it again<\/div>\n

This is actually my most important beauty tip of all. My skin is more radiant than ever thanks to the liberating feeling of s<\/span>aying YES <\/span>to things that I used to think weren\u2019t for me, like\u00a0going to a fashion show or wearing shorts.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

I hear from women all the time who thank me for showing them that yes, they <\/span>can\u00a0wear a bikini. Yes, they can join a dating app. And yes, they can wear sleeveless shirts even though they feel too big to do so. (Which inspired my \u201cI want to wear this but…\u201d <\/span>series<\/span><\/a> on Instagram). Challenging the rules we\u2019ve set for ourselves and calling BS on the lies we tell ourselves will give you a fierce glow that I bet can compete with any skincare product out there.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
